Great Prayer Festival for World Peace, Kopan, March 14th - 19th

Dear Friends,

Every year for the past few years Kopan has been hosting the Great
prayer festival, on special request of His Holiness who is very keen for

this tradition of prayer gatherings to be revived and strengthened.

Kopan acts as a host to this event, as it has the best facilities for
this type of large gathering..

A committee of members of the 8 monasteries in the Kathmandu valley
administers the festival, and all offerings made go directly to the
monks and nuns attending the prayer gathering, up to 1600 altogether
from the 8 Gelug monasteries.

The Monlam committee as well as Kopan monastery is very grateful for any

support you can give, such as putting the attached letter up on
your notice board, or to circulate the message amongst friends.
